General liability
Commercial General Liability (CGL), ISO form CG 00 01
If your work damages someone's stuff or hurts someone who isn't your employee, this pays. It's the policy every client COI request is really asking about.
Who needs it
Every trade, first policy you buy. GCs, property managers, and HOAs won't let you on site without it.
